Seveno Pty Ltd's Software Development Kit (SDK) enables the user to write their own interface to import data into DataSight. The SDK uses COM to import any flat file into DataSight.
Component Object Model (COM) is a language-independent software component model designed by Microsoft to enable interaction between software components and applications. Installing DataSight will install and register the SDK COM objects.
The key aspect of COM is that it enables communication between components, between applications, and between clients and servers through clearly defined interfaces. Interfaces provide a way for clients to ask a COM component which features it supports at runtime.
Installing DataSight will install and register the SDK COM objects. Only one interface can be used when using DataSightLite, the free limited functionality version of DataSight. DataSight will allow the use of multiple interfaces.
