 DataSight Conversion Table Plugin
The Conversion Table Plugin is designed to enable the user to manipulate data that is within DataSight. The Conversion Table is linked directly to the Datasheet within DataSight. The Conversion Table Plugin is extremely flexible and powerful allowing the user to use look up tables, free hand formula, off set adjustments in proportion to time, and modify data across several independent sites.
Conversion Tables can be used to:
 Convert data using look up/interpolation tables
Convert data using free hand formula's
Convert or adjust data using time shift with either absolute or percentage values
Use the data from multiple stations or multiple variables to undertake conversions
Generate new data and place in a variable
Relocate data to a different variable
Undertake Scientific unit conversion
By using data that is only in the Datasheet, the user can isolate the data that requires modification. The penalty is that the user cannot modify enormous amounts of data at one time. In many cases, it is more practical to modify data in sections of approximately 25 to 50 thousand rows. For example, it would be practical to modify 12 months of 15 minute data in one session.
It is important that the user understands from the onset that the Conversion Tables does not undertake any review of the accuracy or validity of the data being adjusted, generated or calculated. The accuracy is the sole responsibility of the user. |
