DataSight Desktop Feature Set
Relational Database with easy Download/Import interface:
DataSight enables direct downloading from all major branded acquisition systems into the DataSight relational database. You can also import and consolidate data from other non-hardware sources such as legacy databases, spreadsheets or other data files. You can create and save import specifications to use again. You enter, review and modify data using a familiar "spreadsheet-look" interface.
Data merging, sharing and exporting
Send databases and datasets to and between other users and non-users. If you receive such data you can use the DataSight mapping function to merge that data into your database even if the data is structured differently. You can also export data in flat files or in MS Access format.
Publishing including to the Web
Use DataSight's scheduler to automatically update and output results of a data query or formatted graph. Output is saved as a PDF file to a specified location or for publishing or uploading to the web. Alternatively, use the fixed type tabular reporting solution. You can also elect to build your own report templates using Report Creator.
Graphical Profiling
Users can drag and drop data variables onto graph axes to profile data. An unlimited number of series can be plotted against any independent axis and users have full control over presentation formats.
Audit Trails
DataSight's audit tracking function keeps track of individual personnel and devices involved in the data collection process. It includes provision for adding explanatory notes.
Quality Assurance/Quality Control
Assess the quality of your data with a feature that calculates and displays the statistical characteristics of the data set. This includes minimum and maximum values, the mean and standard deviation.
Conditional Filtering
Use conditional filtering to interrogate data and isolate subsets of interest. You can construct complex queries and compare and contrast differing data series on one graph.
Integration
DataSight is designed to integrate with GIS applications such as ArcView(TM), ARC/INFO(TM), and MapInfo(TM). What's more, DataSight’s ODBC protocol lets you connect third-party statistical or analysis tools to provide additional reporting, analysis, and visualization capabilities.
Security
Password protect your database. Create and maintain user groups.
